Psychotherapy for Couples, Families and Individuals

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois. I received my masters in Family Counseling at Northeastern Illinois University, and hold both an undergraduate and masters degree in secondary education from Ohio University

Throughout my professional and personal life, I have been active in organizations that improve the quality of people’s lives including schools, community service agencies, shelters, mentoring programs, and as a spouse and mother to two children and one dog.  Each role has helped me better understand the issues clients face in their own lives. In addition to my academic program work, I received clinical training in Brief Strategic Family Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).

I am LGBTQIA affirming and I value race, culture, and gender as critical parts of all of our identities.
